Santa will definitely be dropping by when you serve this cozy hot milk punch and homemade iced cookies.

I am taking the traditional milk and cookies American tradition up a notch with a boozy hot milk punch and homemade iced cookies. Living in Kentucky, I love the flavor of bourbon whiskey, but feel free to switch to another alcohol if you have a different taste preference.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 ounces Bourbon
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Freshly grated nutmeg

Method:.

Heat the milk in a small saucepan over medium heat, frothing it with a whisk until it is quite hot but not boiling. Whisk in the honey. Remove from the heat and stir in the bourbon. Pour into a heatproof mug and grate a small amount of fresh nutmeg atop the foam. Serves one.
